Any Teachers out there that teach World History to sophomores in High School?

Hi umm we are on the first chapter in the book World History Modern Times, from Glencoe, and i am having a really hard time studying becuase there is so much stuff i need to know that i am afraid if i try narrowing down that i might not get everything i need to know, and it will be on the test. What do you learn in elementary school history?

What subject do you see stick, and which ones do Generally struggle with?

Do you teach about war? Racism?

Any knowledge about how to teach both US and World History to kids in between the ages of 4 and 10 would be greatly appreciated.

What classes do you need in highschool to become a history teacher?

How do I become a history teacher? Also is becoming one competitive?

I LOVE history. And I’d really love to be a high school history teacher. I’ve already been accepted to the college I want to go to as a history major. What else do I need to do so I can go on to teach history once I graduate college, and how competitive will it be to get a job?
Also what is the salary like? I’m not in it for the money, but it would be nice to know. =)
Also I live in Texas if that effects anything and this is also where I plan to teach.
